"Point of view" (POV) is all about "perspective." From whose perspective is the piece being produced?
"Bias," on the other hand, is how far—if at all—a piece strays from "neutrality."
So, in my example of vanilla versus chocolate ice cream, I could write a piece about which flavor is better. My POV could be that of someone that is allergic to chocolate. Even though I'm allergic to chocolate, I can still write a neutral piece about the two flavors. I do not have to be biased. Or, then again, I might lean towards vanilla. Consumers of media often take POV into consideration when attempting to judge whether or not bias is present in a piece.
