A List of MLA Format Resources to Help With In-Text Citations & the "Works Cited" Section

MLA (Modern Language Association) style is most commonly used to write papers and cite sources within the liberal arts and humanities. Students in these programs must learn how to do something called "in-text" citations within their text as well as a "Works Cited" section at the end of their essay.  This list offers resources to students that need to use MLA formatting:

The absolute best source for MLA formatting is the actual MLA Handbook. Your library has a copy and, of course, both in-print and digital copies are available for purchase at bookstores.

This site provides a wealth of information on MLA formatting.  It begins with an overview of the "Works Cited" page.
